Mexican Corner
About This Spot
Stepping into Mexican Corner in New Rochelle instantly wraps you in the warmth of a genuine neighborhood gathering spot. It’s the kind of place where time seems to slow just enough to savor each moment — lively but unhurried, with the comforting buzz of easy conversation and friendly greetings. The modest size of the restaurant only adds to its charm, making it feel more like sharing a meal at a friend’s home than dining out.
Here, the mood is relaxed and inviting, marked by attentive service where hospitality feels personal and sincere. The staff’s approachable nature and attentiveness create a cozy backdrop for whatever brings you here — be it a casual dinner after a long day or a small, joyous celebration with close company.
What makes the experience truly memorable is the food’s thoughtful authenticity. Plates arrive generously portioned, radiant with colors and flavors that speak of tradition and a home-cooked touch. Whether it’s the rich, slightly sweet mole enveloping freshly rolled enchiladas, the bright zest of freshly made salsa and guacamole shared over chips, or the hearty comfort of classic huevos rancheros with their inviting warmth and textures — every bite feels like a piece of Mexico shared in the heart of New York.
Guests return here not just for the familiar tastes but for the feeling of belonging that Mexican Corner quietly fosters. It’s a space where the nuances of familiar recipes blend with the rhythms of a welcoming community, bringing together moments worth lingering over as much as the food itself.

Great and quick service, the waitresses are very kind and accommodating. They definitely serve big portions so come hungry. Really good flavors and varied menu for a small place. The guacamole was a bit watery but had a nice lime-rich taste. The mole sauce on the enchiladas was a little sweeter than I expected but overall good food. The huevos rancheros were delish - especially the refried beans.

1st times a charm. 3rd time back again! I stumbled upon this hidden gem last Saturday evening. Immediately floored by the hospitality, authenticity and of course the food! If you happen to be in New Rochelle. Please pay homage to the Mexican Corner.

This place is NO “hole in the wall” as some have stated. I decided to give it a try on a Friday after work and wow…AMAZING! Service was TOP TIER! When you come in you are greeted with chips and THREE salsas. I ordered a sangria & tacos(which came with Guac, rice and beans). All of this for just $26! Can’t beat that.
